About Developer Tools

Type what you need, get a plain list. Developer Tools collects the products and businesses built for people who write and run code: libraries, test runners, build pipelines, hosted databases and the services in between. Each result links to a profile the founder has checked and edited themselves.

Use the filters to narrow by subcategory, or stay on this page to see everything beneath it in one list. Newest listings come first by default. Switch to community votes if you would rather see what other visitors have backed. Votes cannot be bought, so the order reflects use, not spend. Every listing has one main category, picked at submission. If a tool fits two areas, such as an open source database, check the subcategory pages, the Open Source category and this one before you decide it is missing.

Developer Tools: questions answered

What belongs in Developer Tools?
Products whose main buyer or user is a developer or engineering team: APIs, SDKs, testing services, deployment and pipeline tools, databases and backend platforms. Open source projects now have their own category, Open Source. General business software that happens to have an API belongs in its own field instead.
How do I choose between the subcategories?
Pick the one that describes the job the product does first. A hosted data store goes in databases and backend, a build runner in DevOps and CI/CD. Open source projects now have their own category, Open Source, so file them there.
How do I get my tool listed here?
Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from your site, then you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category, included free. A free listing waits about 6-8 weeks; a paid launch costs $5.
How are listings ordered?
Newest first by default. Visitors can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so a higher position through votes reflects what people chose. The category page shows products from the subcategories too, and filters let you narrow the list.
What should I compare when choosing a developer tool?
Check what the profile says it does, how it fits your existing stack, and whether it is open or hosted. Read the founder's description, follow the link to the product site, and test it on something small before committing your team.
