About Other
Other is the spare shelf. If a product or a business has no obvious home among the named categories, it lands here. Think hybrids, one-off services, niche tools and anything whose label would need a paragraph to explain. The page shows everything in the category with filters, so a broad pile turns into a short list quickly.
Treat it as a last resort, not a first stop. Read through the named categories before settling on this one, because a listing placed where buyers expect it is easier to find. When something truly fits nowhere else, this is the honest place for it. Search works across the whole page: type what the thing does, not what it is called, then scan the plain results and open whatever looks close.
Other: questions answered
- What belongs in Other?
- Products and businesses that do not match any named category: mixed offerings, unusual services, narrow tools. If a more specific category describes yours reasonably well, pick that instead. Buyers browse the named categories first, so a closer fit is usually seen sooner.
- How do I get a listing into this category?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from your site, and you review and amend each field before anything is published. Pick Other as the single main category, which is free. The extra-categories upgrade costs $5.
- How are the results ordered?
- The newest listings sit at the top by default. Visitors can re-sort the page by community votes instead. Nobody can pay for votes, so that ranking reflects what visitors chose, not what a founder spent.
- How do I compare listings that have nothing in common?
- Ignore the label and compare on use. Check what the product does, who it is for, and whether the profile says so plainly. Use the filters to cut the page down, then open two or three close candidates and read their own sites.
- Does a free listing here wait longer than a paid one?
- A paid launch costs $5. A free listing joins a queue of about 6-8 weeks before it appears. The category does not change that: the same rules apply to a listing in Other as to any other category.
